I have a small stand up shower (3’ x 4’) and when I updated th bathroom, I wanted a niche to put my products. All of the local stores had the standard square niche, and I wasn’t quite sure that would be enough for all of my products. I needed this to work horizontally so that I could fit all of my products. I ordered this and when I got it, my contractor said it would be too big and wouldn’t look good. I didn’t care, this was more about function than design, and after all was said and done, he admitted that it came out great. We installed it off center since I was also installing frameless glass doors and made sure the niche was centered between the door and the wall. I love it. It was exactly what I needed.Not good product.... is like cheap plastic product... need a extra work for install 2- of 10.... after few days of install... the tile , it’s falling down ... bad bad ... badIts sturdy well build big enough to fit all my shower needsI purchased two of the 17” x 25” to use horizontally for side by side niches in our remodel and they worked great! I do not have first hand experience installing them though. Remember after tile the actual space for shampoo will be smaller. Unfortunately I learned that the hard way in another bathroom. I say go as big as you can!The shower cube meant I didn't have to frame for a shower insert. Worked great. But think it through. I takes tile readily, no problem. But as with any insert, remember you'll have to search like crazy to find the trim to finish the edges.Turned out beautifulGlad i chose these boxes. Initially i had planned to build my own. They are sturdy with just enough slope to release water. Bottles remain in place. I placed one horizontally on one wall the other vertical. These boxes made tiling a breezeEasy to install works good..
